Today, the #lawyercat video was added to the YouTube Hall of Fame. The The New York Times named it one of the top YouTube videos of all time. It will forever be part of my story. As I've always said, "You don't choose your legacy. Your legacy chooses you!"

The allocution statement (which is not the actual "victim impact statement" defined in 56A.151 in Texas CCP) is governed by this code section (42.03). It requires someone to appear "in person" (which an AI Avatar is not) and content is limited to "the person's views." So, not ok.

Truly enjoyed a recent meeting where I was teaching how to use AI for simple editing tasks and kept fielding questions from a particular attendee about "ChatGPS." (I guess it's AI that keeps track of your location?)

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the 20th Annual TexasBarCLE "Soaking Up Some CLE" Litigation Court in South Padre Island this week! It's going to be gorgeous weather and a big crowd, some come on by and enjoy the conference (and maybe a piña colada)!
