I would truly love to see a high quality poll of American pediatricians on "gender affirming care." I can say with confidence the American Academy of Pediatrics doesn't speak for me, and doesn't speak for all of their members.

You have a little boy who likes pink/dresses/sparkles and he's told that's not for him, that's for girls. It's totally age-appropriate little kid logic to say "then I'm a girl!" and that's all it takes for a social transition to proceed.

At some point you're going to have to learn about the principles of evidence based medicine. I've been asking you to do a systematic review of the evidence for over 5 years. Just because some patients claim the care is life-saving does not make that true, this is how scandals go.

You can't be serious about ending pediatric gender medicine and refer to homosexuality as perverted or disordered. Not every trans ideating kid is dealing with homophobia, internal or otherwise, but plenty of them are. It is documented over and over and over again.
