And this is why I judge faculty on how they treat those “below” them: students, trainees, cleaning staff, etc. Institutions of higher education that teach that power is to be worshipped or chased after are not doing their job. Knowledge illuminates and it equips servant leaders.

When I was less prepared, my empathy was used against me to give away too much. When I was well prepared, my understanding of value and a fair deal mitigated feelings. As long as I have a clear framing and targets, I do very well. Like here. Bought at a lower price.
