This week's Science Magazine is a special issue I organized on #EarlyLife #Immunology! Check it out!!! Intro: bit.ly/Sci_abc3140 Rev 1: bit.ly/Sci_aaz9330 Rev 2: bit.ly/Sci_aba0478 Rev 3: bit.ly/Sci_aaz1960 Rev 4: bit.ly/Sci_aaz9447

Great review by Ted Hong Ted Hong (홍찬영) and Xing Liu from Weirauch lab and Fuxman Bass lab Juan Fuxman Bass! Viral proteins can act as host transcriptional regulators. They attempted to annotate these factors and discuss their importance in human disease. It will be a valuable resource.

6.5 years, ~2000 gut preps, a handful of failed projects (RIP), 3 months of pandemic lab shutdown, one THICC dissertation...and my PhD work with Ruslan Medzhitov is finally out today in Science Magazine science.sciencemag.org/content/371/65… (1/n)

Reunion of formal Yale Department of Immunobiology postdocs as new PIs at #KAI2021Hybrid international meeting in South Korea.

Our new study by Jieun Oh eric hoyeon song Miyu Moriyama et al shows that immune priming via intranasal route provides superior protection against heterologous respiratory virus challenge. The key is in inducing local secretory IgA with broader coverage. (1/) science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Jaechul Lim, Erica V. Lin, Jun Young Hong, Ruslan Medzhitov et al. Yale Department of Immunobiology reveal that #glucocorticoids promote the production of #IgE by rare B cells in the mesenteric lymph nodes in the absence of experimentally administered antigens. bit.ly/3BbJDIq #allergies

It is finally published! We tried to understand biological principle of long-term immune programming with early-life environment. We proposed ‘developmentally programmable immune components’ that are maintained in homeostasis with altered set point. Thank you Ruslan Medzhitov !

On Developmental Programming of the Immune System. An #opinion from @Rmedzhitov & Jun Young Hong, out now in Trends in Immunology #SfN23 hubs.li/Q028x1pR0
