Of course for many people a prison term can adversely affect their relationships and jobs and accommodation and health, basically making their lives less happy, stable and independent than before, which is counter-productive if the aim is to rehabilitate and make society safer.

Oliver (pictured in the Verena Holmes lecture theatre!) is excited to make a return to KMMS to visit students after a hopefully relaxing and restful Easter break. Seeing students might be his favourite part of his job - the more cuddles, the better!

Sad and shocked to read that less than 2% of rapes reported in England and Wales in 2022 have resulted in a charge or court summons. More must be done to reform the criminal justice system and help victims/survivors go through the process. (Source: bbc.co.uk/news/uk-661326…)

We're currently hard at work analysing the data from our most recent study investigating potential jury bias with the use of facility dogs in courts. We can't wait to share the research! Oliver did a stellar job acting for the video clips used in this research. #dogsoftwitter

Orange you glad I didn't say apple? No, we're outside Pears! (If you didn't get this joke, just search "The Annoying Orange". Millennials, iykyk.) One of the many places Oliver visits and carries mout his magic in is the Pears building, part of Kent and Medway Medical School.
