I can highly recommend the Summer Geometry Initiative (SGI) by Justin Solomon. It is a six-week paid summer #research program introducing undergraduate and graduate students to the field of #geometryProcessing. Details: sgi.mit.edu applications due February 17, 2025.

📢New England Symposium on Graphics 2025 is BACK on April 26 at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Join us for inspiring talks, including a keynote by Prof. Wojciech Jarosz plus a poster session, networking, & more. Attendance is FREE—register now: forms.gle/5zWWAQL4KtU74w…. Full details: nesg.graphics

What an amazing start to our #Eurographics2025 keynotes from Justin Solomon on optimization for geometry processing - lots of useful optimization tools, and so many more interesting challenges yet to be solved!

Our work was featured by MIT News today! Had so much fun working on this project with Silvia Sellán, Natalia Pacheco-Tallaj and Justin Solomon. Can't wait to present it at SIGGRAPH this summer! news.mit.edu/2025/animation…

A new mathematical approach from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) researchers allows animators to simulate rubbery and elastic materials in a way that preserves the physical properties of the material and avoids pitfalls like instability. news.mit.edu/2025/animation…

Totally agree. I took linear algebra 3 times before it clicked: an abstract-ish version in high school, a very abstract proof-based one freshman year, & then an applied one my senior year w/ Justin Solomon. It wasn't until the last one that things started to make sense!

While making some figures for SGI* this year, I made some "behind the scenes" footage of how they get made: youtube.com/playlist?list=… Basically a video extension of cs.cmu.edu/~kmcrane/faq.h… ("figures?") *SGI is a great program run by Justin Solomon & deserves more funding

💡 Our new work at International Conference on Minority Languages: Serve thousands of LoRA adapters with minimal overhead—a step towards enabling LLM personalization by finetuning. We also expanded the largest open LoRA hub to 1,200+ adapters! 📜 Paper: arxiv.org/pdf/2407.00066 🤗 LoRAs: huggingface.co/Lots-of-LoRAs w/

I had a lot of fun working on this project 😃 Training 1000+ LoRAs to do interesting experiments, digging into vLLM, improving the algorithm to work at scale. Thanks Rickard Brüel Gabrielsson for your hard work and congrats 😎

I'll be the Technical Papers Chair at SIGGRAPH 2026 and Justin Solomon will be the Technical Papers Assistant Chair. If you're interested in joining the SIGGRAPH 2026 TPC member pool, please fill in the following nomination form by Aug 15th 2025: forms.gle/FwY1KwBh7grtZh…

Thank you to Alex Shipps from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) news for covering our latest work on geometry processing of Escheresque constructions! Excited to share more soon. news.mit.edu/2025/mit-mesch… --- with Isabella Yu , Kartik Chandra (also on Mastodon and Bsky), Jonathan Ragan-Kelley, J. Tenenbaum (CoCoSci MIT), Vincent Sitzmann, Justin Solomon
