Talk about laying it all on the line for gold, Bennington won 4x100 gold, it took a great anchor leg from Manny Mcvay but went down at the end and broke his wrist! We hope for a speedy recovery, but that is a story that will be told for generations to come! Watch the full race!

There was more than just track at the State Track Meet. Skylar Schoenbeck a Junior from Wamego not only placed 3rd in the 4A Javelin and broke the school record (That she already had) but also sang the National Anthem before the ceremonies that took place after the 1600's on

At the state track meet Beverly Heier Birney was induced into the KSHSAA hall of fame. She held the record in the 1A 100 since 1983 until this year when it was broke. She went to high school in Grinnell (now Wheatland-Grinnell) she currently coaches at Bucklin. Watch the ceremony
