Crystal snapshots of our organic cages with tuneable cavity heights controlled by conformation out now in ChemComm doi.org/10.1039/D4CC01…. Great job by @CaitShields, Thomas Fellowes and team, and a worthy first corresponding-author paper for Filip Szczypiński 👨‍🔬🍷!

Delighted to see the first research paper from my group McTernan Group online Chem - Metal-Peptidic Cages and how to make them - open access and link at authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S24… - we use oligoprolines to form tuneable cages and bind drugs! Great work @B_E_Barber Leah + Ellen!

📢#PhD position available! My group at Universitat de Barcelona is looking for a PhD student in Physical Organic Chemistry with an interest in: - photochemistry - autocatalysis - spectroscopy - synthesis - kinetic modeling Contact me for more information! #Chemtwitter

1/Excited to share Tomasz Piskorz's latest work on the modelling of supramolecular systems! Introducing metallicious, a Python tool designed to facilitate force field parametrisation of metallo-supramolecular systems. #compchem doi.org/10.26434/chemr…

ICYMI, from Filip Szczypiński 👨‍🔬🍷, Keith Andrews, Andy Cooper, Anna Slater (she/her), @CaitShields and Thomas Fellowes 'Exploration of the polymorphic solid-state landscape of an amide-linked organic cage using computation and automation' pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…

Delighted to share this work with Paul Lusby Lloyd-Jones Research Group on the mechanistic elucidation of cage-catalysed Michael addition. Our #compchem study revealed the entropic origin of catalysis, confirmed by experiments. Congrats Tomasz Piskorz for leading modelling efforts Oxford Chemistry

How can Le Chatelier drive kinetics? Stefan Borsley and I analyse Denton's organocatalytic Mitsunobu reaction and show water removal outperforms catalyst redesigns. Why? Removing water part way through the reaction resets the potential energy surface! doi.org/10.1021/jacs.5…
