I have been in hospital, i have seen patients whose caretakers are theyre parents and those whose caretakers are not their parents. All i can say give the best to your children when still alive. It hurts when a healthworker cares for the patient more than the caretaker.

Its tym as africans to run away from this mentality, this was an act that could led 2 the death/survival. But poor mentality of sente yekikazzi could have cost a life. Kudos to interns in paed at Mbale RRH who contributed money to get insulin for this child.

This was a gesture i had never seen esp considering the financial hardships of intern doctors. We pray and hope that this young girl makes it through. She is a 14year old with DM1 who came is DKA with no insulin for about two weeks.
