Thrilled to share that @UrquhartRobin and I got funding from Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada to start working towards a definition of successful #transitionofcare for AYA w/ lived experience of hematologic cancers. We’ll be working with patient partners and collaborators @IWKHealth and Nova Scotia Health.

I instruct an upper-year undergraduate course on Healthy Aging at Queen's University - for one of the assignments, students were asked to create an infographic discussing a common myth about aging. I have permission to share some of the infographics with you... 1/7

This should be the standard at all conferences for the foreseeable future. The richest people in the world took common sense, easy- but strict- precautions to ensure they didn’t get Covid at the #wef23 in #Davos. #notacold #airquality #CovidIsNotOver www3.weforum.org/docs/AM23_Heal…

Putting the top 3 killers of adults in perspective, and things you can do to prevent falling victim to them. We have Heart & Stroke We have Canadian Cancer Society We probably need something for the new kid on the block... it's not going anywhere, that's for sure.

The vulnerable shouldn’t be in this alone. We should care about each other’s safety. And I truly believe most people do care, but we need to make it easy to do the right thing. I think this simple slogan would be really effective at changing the social etiquette around masking.

If your institution is hosting an event on equity, diversity and inclusion without having given a single thought to covid safety, effectively rendering your EDI event inaccessible to the disabled and medically vulnerable, I have some bad news for you…

Everyone reading this thread can help kids like Eddie by masking in public, advocating for clean air, staying home when sick, etc. Most illnesses can be spread before symptoms start, you could feel fine but unwittingly harm a vulnerable child.

Some media outlets are reporting on our study saying "Most patients with Long Covid have recovered after 3 years" No! Not accurate. Even people with mild COVID were still having new health problems 3 years after infection rdcu.be/dJq1L 🧵x.com/zalaly/status/…

How many people do you encounter on any given day? Do you want to be the one who passes the virus to someone!? MASK UP!!! Masking is community care.
