This group of staff had the wonderful opportunity to represent our school community today. Kenwood received official certification today as meeting Marzano's High Reliability Schools expectations as a; Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative Culture. Way to go KLA community!

Pre-k through 5th graders created clay works of art then May 14 – 16th will have their pieces go into a 3-step process to fire Raku. This project was made possible by a partnership with the Iowa Ceramic Center and Glass Studio

KLA teachers are excited to have an opportunity to collaborate again! Today they are clarifying our Model of Instruction defining what does leadership integration look like in all classrooms.

A big change is coming to CRCSD: PowerSchool is being replaced with Infinite Campus! Starting on August 12, 2019, you will have access to Infinite Campus, our new student information management system. More information to come in the near future from the district.

Right now we are in reading groups and it’s always busy because we are working! As you can see, this is some of my class doing read to self, WOW (writing to our teacher), vocabulary work, and Freckle. Some people are in group with Mrs. Treiber. #KLAstutakeover #studentvoice

At lunch we were preparing for going to McGrath tomorrow which I’m really excited for. We are telling them about the Private Victory- Habits 1, 2, and 3. #KLAstutakeover #studentvoice

We are in math groups. We are working really hard on division, exponents, and multiplication. Sometimes we work with Mrs. Treiber and sometimes we have work on our own! #KLAstutakeover #studentvoice

We started Project Lead the Way: Infection Detection today. It was so much fun. We learned about how diseases spread. We had a game where we passed a fake disease around the classroom. It started with 1 person and 13 people ended up getting it. #KLAstutakeover #studentvoice
