After 3 months of operation, our Community Hydro scheme has generated 49,100 units of electricity, earning us Β£5,900 to go towards other community projects. All made possible with funding we received from SP Energy Networks and the #GreenEconomyFund. π Full details on our website.
Following a meeting with South of Scotland Enterprise this week, the Trust has been appointed a SOSE community advisor, who will advise and assist with our key projects: Penpont - Thornhill Path, Community Cafe, Transport and Affordable Housing. We look forward to connecting further with SOSE.
We are delighted to be working in collaboration with Cycling Scotland in offering free family friendly cycling sessions next month. We are able to offer a professional cycling tutor for 6 family sessions as part of their - and our - initiative to get families cycling. π΄π΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈ
We recently had Craig Hardie from Cycling Scotland provide free family friendly cycling sessions at Penpont School. It was a great opportunity for a photo with some of the participants, next to our newly installed bike maintenance stand funded by Cycling Friendly Communities. π΄ββοΈ

A massive THANKYOU to Business Micros (part of Forterro), Penpont, who have very generously donated two whisky barrels and arranged to have them planted, for our new cycle area next to our community cafe garden. We can't wait to see them planted up and looking 'blooming' lovely. Thankyou! βΊοΈ
