We recently had Craig Hardie from Cycling Scotland provide free family friendly cycling sessions at Penpont School. It was a great opportunity for a photo with some of the participants, next to our newly installed bike maintenance stand funded by Cycling Friendly Communities. πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ

A very generous donation of old postcards and school photographs this week from Gill Pearcey in Dumfries. Gill's late husband Alan was an avid collector over many years of old images of D&G villages and we received part of Alan's collection covering our KPT area. Thankyou Gill πŸ€—

HUGE thanks to all those in our communities who voted on their favourite cafe logo recently, for our soon to open Three Villages community run cafe in Penpont. It was a close call with the winner - Logo 2 Sugar Cubes - just three votes ahead.

A massive THANKYOU to Business Micros (part of Forterro), Penpont, who have very generously donated two whisky barrels and arranged to have them planted, for our new cycle area next to our community cafe garden. We can't wait to see them planted up and looking 'blooming' lovely. Thankyou! ☺️

Our Tracks & Trails group were delighted that the first of two interpretation boards on the Keir to Tynron path was put in place this week. The board has a topographic panel on it pointing out the hills in the distance, with information on flora and fauna you may see in the area.
