Enough both sides diplomatic fig leaves. Tigray forces r fighting existential battle 4 survival against 2 yr genocidal onslaught. Key diff US response 1980s & now, US happy 2 c soviet backed Mengistu fall, but 2 much invested in Abiy to let him, fearing Ethiopian disintegration.

Rashid Abdi lmao, it still exists? seeing as these are tax paying US citizens protesting the US government (and their elected officials?) over their meddling in Ethiopia??? Nobody is begging for peacekeepers, USAID biscuits, and/or Samantha Power to organize weapons shipments via Sudan

While Africa contributes less than 4% to global GHG emissions, we are allowed to wallow amidst the disasters brought by the impacts of climate change. Africa must shine brighter away from it's current dark state.

The real determination of US policy in the face of genocidal conflict whose death toll now exceeds 500,000-is still governed by the lust for a relationship with Abiy that would yield geopolitical and economic benefits. The paralyzing influence of this on Western diplomacy is huge.

You cannot push an army that has lost will to fight. If I was a soldier in Abiy's army, I will definitely lose the will to fight. Armies are trained to fight external enemies not to work with external enemies to kill their own.

US statements on troop movements might be diplomatic but not dignified;in fact it is becoming increasingly absurd. No one, perhaps, who has not lived under siege and genocide such as Tigray, grasp how dangerous it is to just sit down and wait for ultimate extermination.

As usual US Special Envoy to Horn of Africa will come not to listen but it come with to do list. The most surprising thing is even federal gov't of #USA don't have any power to dictate states within #USA but it dictate sovereign countries.

The western media and the US Govt constantly repeat the propaganda of an “unprovoked” Russian invasion of Ukraine. Just take 30 mins of your time and read how blatantly false that is. The US Govt provoked this war and carries the brunt of responsibility. covertactionmagazine.com/2022/09/12/ukr…

I had words today at the #NoMore rally about how the US & western media are not promoting peace in Ethiopia & Eritrea, they are spreading misinformation and war.

The ICHREE report on human rights violations in Ethiopia following the conflict in Northern Ethiopia is preplanned & politically motivated, failing to serve the purpose of holding perpetrators accountable. #DisarmTPLF #TPLFisthecause #SayNoMore
