Delgado Baseball’s roots run deep in our baseball community. Tonight, three former Dolphins and one former Assistant Coach faced each other at Kirsch-Rooney. Joining Coach Scheuermann are Stephen Klein, Christian Trent, Troy Lewis, and Brady Benoit.

In conjunction with the “Rags” Scheuermann Memorial Tournament, Delgado is launching a commemorative logo to mark the 50th Anniversary of the state’s first junior college athletic program, featuring the familiar color scheme, Dolphin, & the outline of the old English D logo.

Cy Kirsch, one of the heroes behind Kirsch-Rooney Stadium’s moniker, was killed in World War II 80 years ago today. Staff Sargent Kirsch was shot by a Japanese sniper in Okinawa, Japan shortly after leading his 105th infantry platoon to safety. He died on April 22, 1945 at age 23
