As part of the CE 563 course, students study the behavior of reinforced concrete. This lab conducted a three-point bending test on concrete beams to observe how they behave under flexural loads.

Congratulations to Wambura Chacha, who successfully defended his dissertation titled "Advancing Thermal Proteome Profiling (TPP) as a Proteomic Tool for Monitoring Soil Bioremediation." His committee was led by Justin Hutchison (chair).

Though the semester might be over, we're still thinking about the hard work our students have done this year! Earlier this month, students in ARCH 101 showcased their final projects at the Fayman Gallery. These projects included 3D renderings of proposed structures.

Sanjeeb Thapa has been researching textured epoxy-coated reinforcement. His study compares the anchorage strengths of textured epoxy-coated and uncoated hooked bars, aiming to support the use of a coating factor of 1.0 in the ACI Building Code and AASHTO Bridge Specifications.
