Pollination is one of the most important activities in the orchard calendar and the movement of pollen & flowers between orchards & regions must be managed to minimise risk of disease spread. Find a list of KPCS certified pollen mills and registered distributors on our website.

Our Biosecurity Manager, Matt Dyck, had the privilege of presenting at the Aquaculture Conference to share learnings from kiwifruit biosecurity. It was a great opportunity for learnings across sectors & leveraging off each others efforts for more efficient outcomes!

If you see Psa on an orchard, or new development, remember to make a report. Psa remains a high-risk organism. Concerned about unexpectedly high Psa impacts despite a good Psa management program? Report it so we can rule out presence of a new or resistant Psa variant!

Step three of completing your On-orchard Biosecurity Plan is about sourcing & tracing clean plant material on & off of your orchard - movement of plant material is considered the highest risk pathway to introducing pests or diseases into your orchard. buff.ly/4etZgML

Overseas, kiwi kid Leo from the Bay of Plenty was a biosecurity champion reporting his bug find. In Germany, he saw what he knew was BMSB & snapped a photo to send to dad back home in NZ. Needless to say, he’ll be double checking his belongings & bags before returning home!

Our submission on proposed amendments to the Biosecurity Act is available to view on our website. It's pretty comprehensive and addresses most of the proposed changes, but don't panic, we've summarised it and made it easy to read 👍 bit.ly/3E3bDTE
