Yesterday I discovered for weeks some of my school emails have randomly been routed to an alternate email that I didn't even know I had. IT says "We're not entirely sure why this happens sometimes, and there was nothing you could have done to prevent it." Wut?!

This hits for me personally. I agree with the recommendation that we really need to be hiring people who have experience with kids. The uncertified teachers that had experience as substitutes or paraprofessionals were usually better prepared.

Why do people think I work for department stores whenever I go out in nicer clothing? So far it's happened in Dillard's, JCPenney, and Kohls. My husband says it's because people who look my age usually dress more casually. Is that a compliment?

I've hypothesized this a few times, and I'm glad there's research out there supporting it.
