Come visit the Glen Vista Gallery inside the visitor center to see the Nature's Way Preschool Art Show! The artwork is inspired by the Roots of Wisdom Exhibit currently running in the visitor center and will feature artwork by the little ones from KNC's Nature's Way Preschool.

Happy Meet the Staff Monday! Meet Laura Sacha, a beloved teacher at Nature's Way Preschool since 2021. Laura is a caring and patient teacher who loves teaching in an outdoor classroom. Her students can always count on a hug and a big smile. Thank you for all that you do, Laura!

Have you wanted to visit KNC but haven't yet? MAP provides Michigan library cardholders access to participating cultural destinations and parks at a discounted rate. With the Michigan Activity Pass, you can get one free admission to KNC with the purchase of a regular admission.

The KNC Visitor Center is CLOSED through January 31st. Please check the website for periodic closures in February as we finish this project and bring a new sparkle back to KNC. Trails will be open daily during the renovations with reduced admission rates!

The Visitor Center is still closed but we wanted to share an update with you on our flooring project. The old linoleum has been pulled up and the concrete beneath it has been polished to perfection. Please remember our trails are OPEN with a reduced admission fee.

Chris Chosa, KNC Grants Manager and an Ojibwe descendent, is undertaking a groundbreaking experiment to revive early maple sugar production methods. He is on the verge of recreating a process unseen for over 500 years. You can see the process LIVE at Maple Sugar Festival.

The DeLano Farms Summer CSA shares are now available to purchase! Shareholders will learn how to select and harvest their own share of herbs, vegetables, and flowers with guidance from farm staff. Payment plans are available.

The visitor center has new flooring throughout! The most affordable and sustainable solution was a refinished concrete floor, which has been hiding below the old laminate. A grinder exposed the aggregate below of black, red, white, umber, ochre, green, and topaz native stones.

KNC hosted a free event to provide regional partners with an opportunity to join in our spring kickoff to prescribed fire season. The event boosted the experience of fire practitioners and demonstrated how KNC has built a burn program to support the organization’s fire needs.
