The lack of refueling options increases the probability of the Russian Navy deploying a nuclear powered submarine to the Mediterranean. Such a submarine could remain on station for 5-6 months insteqd of the 1-2 months for a Kilo class submarine.

🇷🇺Med Sea Flotilla🇷🇺 It appears that Steregushchiy Class Soobrazitelny (caveats apply on the ID) paid a visit to Tartus and may have even visited the piers (based on the pattern on the surface) She looks to be stopped in the anchorage. It will be interesting where she goes next
