Last weekend in the lab! Previous work by the Sasha Levy lab observed >3000 highly beneficial mutations in low glucose conditions. Could we see that many beneficial mutations or do drug conditions reduce this number? We will find out soon! #KGSlabEvolves KerryGeilerSamerotte Sam Apodaca

Library prep day! Thanks Sam Apodaca and Leandra Brettner for all the help! We prepped 5 time points today and I’m sending them off tomorrow. Nothing like enjoying a break while your barcodes are sequenced. #KGSlabEvolves KerryGeilerSamerotte Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University

Today was our last transfer. We will collect TP25 on Friday and this evolution will be complete! I’m looking forward to processing NGS data and identifying mutations! More to come next year. #KGSlabEvolves KerryGeilerSamerotte Thanks Sam Apodaca for all your hard work and dedication.

The remaining time points arrived at Macrogen for sequencing! Library prep was partially done with the biomek i7. What a life (thumb) saver! I cannot wait to have a complete data set from this experiment! #KGSlabEvolves KerryGeilerSamerotte Sam Apodaca Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University

Very excited that our paper is now "in print" at eLife - the journal! elifesciences.org/articles/61271 We've made a few changes in this version, but the thread below still captures the main message! Thanks again to KerryGeilerSamerotte and Dmitri Petrov for all the support and fun on this journey!

If you are interested in how adaptation changes at the molecular level over time, our work (dimitra aggeli ,Gavin Sherlock ) is out on Nature Communications 😄 nature.com/articles/s4146…

Is there more than one mechanism underlying resistance to an antifungal drug? How many mechanisms are there? Kara Schmidlin and Sam Apodaca explore these questions in their paper out today in final form at eLife - the journal! elifesciences.org/articles/94144 (1/9)
