A great resource to show teachers. I preach these things yet there is often skepticism around what I'm saying because I'm not a teacher

I wasn’t taught about how language works at school. I learned more about grammar through learning Indonesian. I was so excited to learn about meaning and structure rules and processes. Teachers on #4Corners are saying they’re not taught at uni either & they’re self teaching.

This is a great paper. Taking SLP students to work with students from trauma backgrounds or who have mental health/EBD/ADHD SLP's are shell shocked initially but say it's so rewarding once they understand the behaviours and how to manage as well as the connection to communication

Thanks @NatalieKippin. I love working with this population and it's great to see the interest from so many and hear from what others are doing!

I love this game! It's great when trying to teach perspectives and thinking about 'how big is a problem really?' #EBD #socialcommunucation #trauma

In addition to discussing barriers/facilitators in everyday practice, these dual-qualified practitioners also told us that their speech pathology training taught them more about reading & reading instruction than their teacher pre-service programs did. Their insights are valuable

Important new meta-analysis showing streaming/ability grouping does not improve students' achievement but does increase inequality. It's time to end such outdated, inefficient and harmful practices #InclusiveEducation journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.31…
