Our son has his last day at school today, like many of you as parents it’s a bittersweet moment, like all our kids he has worked exceptionally hard for GCSES and he is experiencing mixed emotions, sadness, anger and fear. We are extremely proud of you and your peers 💕💕

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35105577/New study shows supportive (and compassionate) leadership is associated with lower work pressure on staff and more influence over decisions. Both in turn linked to higher levels of patient satisfaction

New research: the more power people have at work, the less gratitude they're likely to feel/express. They (unconsciously) feel more entitled to favours & benefits from others based on their elevated hierarchical status. How NOT to be that senior leader: hbr.org/2022/04/resear…

Often we face a mountain of demands so we just work harder & harder. Yet if we were able to take some time out to look at the work & find better ways of doing it, we might work so much smarter. Creating the space to innovate is just as valuable use of time as doing the core work.

Data is critical to improvement but without a meaningful context that people can connect with, it's hard to use data to motivate change. When we explain data with a compelling story that links to people's values & sense of shared purpose, magic happens #QITwitter Art: Gapingvoid Culture Design Group
