Imagine thinking that ARMOUR is the answer to our prison crisis. It’s quite literally the last line of defence against unrest. The first line is a manageable prison population. The second is experienced staff that are retained. The third is purposeful activity not 22h in cells.

The fourth is quelling the influx of drugs into our prisons and all that entails - staff corruption and blackmail, the breakdown of hierarchy, makeshift and smuggled weapons, the list goes on.
