Today, I had a productive discussion with H.E. Kevin Colgan, Irish Ambassador to Uganda. We discussed a range of issues, including Ireland’s continued support to the #Ebola response. Ireland remains a key donor to our efforts through the World Health Organization (WHO) Contingency Fund for Emergencies.



.World Health Organization (WHO) commits continued support to Uganda’s malaria response through technical support, mobilizing evidence, guiding policy & building capacity. We support implementation of the Malaria Mortality Reduction Strategy, scale up vaccine delivery & access to proven prevention tools.


Today, Uganda declared the end of #EbolaOutbreak after less than 3 months. Since the outbreak was declared on 30 January 2025, World Health Organization (WHO) has worked closely with Ministry of Health- Uganda and partners to ensure a successful national response by deploying expertise, providing essential supplies,


Uganda has declared the end of Ebola disease outbreak, less than three months after the virus was confirmed. Robust, coordinated response by the government, supported by World Health Organization (WHO) and partners, was critical in stopping the outbreak.
