Today marks a historic turning point in Uganda’s fight against malaria. By integrating the malaria vaccine into routine immunization, the country is taking a bold step to protect its children, save lives, and secure a healthier future.

Today, I had a productive discussion with H.E. Kevin Colgan, Irish Ambassador to Uganda. We discussed a range of issues, including Ireland’s continued support to the #Ebola response. Ireland remains a key donor to our efforts through the World Health Organization (WHO) Contingency Fund for Emergencies.

Today, I had the honour of meeting with His Excellency Sung Soo Park, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, to discuss collaboration on strengthening health systems through the #PrimaryHealthCare (PHC) approach and working together towards a brighter future for all Ugandans.
