Yesterday, a Russian drone killed this woman in Kyiv region. She covered her 4-year-old son with her body to save him from the brutal Russian attack. This little boy is in the hospital. Putin has increased the number of attacks on peaceful Ukrainian cities in recent months.

International law bars amnesties and has no statute of limitations for international crimes, explains Kateryna Busol. This matters for any Russia-Ukraine peace deal that might try to shield perpetrators. 🔗 Full event recording is available here: chathamhouse.org/events/all/res…

Tonight, Russia damaged a world architectural monument - St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv. This temple was built in the 11th century during Kyivan Rus and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Let me remind you that the Moscow state arose much later.

Yesterday I was reading and writing about Vadym Meller (1884-1962). He was a genius of theatre design, working with Bronislava Nizhynska, Alexandra Exter and Les Kurbas. But I think he is less well-known, even to Ukrainians.
