A1: Hi! My name is Kathy Haddix and I'm a preschool speech pathologist at Bowman Primary. I am most proud of all of the positive staff relationships and collaboration happening in our preschool program♥️ #LCSbookclub

A2: The struggle between wanting to be visible and invisible was noticeable in all three stories. Amazing reading their stories and thinking about how young they all were and having to deal with going in and out of visibility. #LCSbookclub

A3: The concept of "tomorrow" always seemed to bring on a sense of uncertainty for them. Uncertainty to these characters was a matter of life or death at times. #LCSbookclub

A4: Josef felt the strong pull to be an adult throughout but more officially when he had his Bar Mitzvah while on the ship. #LCSbookclub

A4: Mamoud was always looking over his little brother, but then really showed strength over all of the refugees when he stood up to the guards in front of the UN. #LCSbookclub

A5: All of the characters had a sense of hope about their future homes, but only if home was where they were headed. They most feared being returned to where they came from. #LCSbookclub

A7: There was a timeline check when the connections were made between the stories (Lito-Josef/Ruthie-Mamoud). All of these events are truly so recent. Reminded me of the feeling I had when I saw the post about how Anne Frank/MLK/Barbara Walters are all the same age. #LCSbookclub

A9: Love love love the #LCSbookclub idea! As someone new to tweeting, the Twitter part wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. Thanks Margo Graler for coaching me on tweets! Looking forward to the next selection!♥️
