Tough night and still no end in sight. 12 hours so far in A&E and an approximate 65 hour wait for a bed. Corridors full of people on trolleys. The NHS is broken. Amazing staff but with no capacity.

Currently planning an EQ on ‘The Troubles’ - using @HodderHistory brilliant KS3 textbook @MsQuinnHistory. Also drawing on BBC series ‘Once upon a time in NI’ and bringing in some local history, looking at the Manchester and Warrington bombs.

I missed the SHP strand of lovely messages while on a birthday walk in Cornwall, but I miss you all too! There are new challenges for the community: less teacher autonomy under MATs, inaccessible exams, teacher recruitment and narrow INSET provision. (I’m still teaching btw!)
