Year 4 boosted their mood today by asking their classmates to write down one word about each other on their positivity plate. Lots of children struggled to think of anything nice about themselves but were overjoyed with what their friends had to say about them #positivemindset

The children in 2KR were very excited to meet their ukuleles for the first time yesterday. We’re excited to start learning some songs. We will have to post some videos soon, watch this space! 🎶🤩 Jane Shepherd

Today in 2KR we built and programmed a snail to flash different colours using the LEGO kits. The children all used their problem solving skills and even challenged themselves to create a flashing pattern. 👏🏻🐌

Over the last couple of weeks we have been reading the story ‘Pumpkin Soup’. Today in 2KR we made pumpkin soup and are going to be writing instructions this week about how we made it. Most children were brave enough to taste the soup, but we had a lot of funny faces pulled! 🎃🥣

2KR had a fantastic walk into Layton today, luckily the rain held off! 😀☔️ We looked at what is in our local area and also learnt about road signs and map symbols. 🌎

2KR only started learning to play the ukulele at the beginning of Year 2 and look at them now! I can’t believe the progress they have made in the last 7 weeks. Well done 2KR and a big thank you must go to Jane Shepherd! 👏🏻🎶

We’re really enjoying our Victorian day so far in 2KR! The children are shocked at how strict the school rules would have been and have enjoyed using quills in Literacy. Don’t they all look fantastic? 🖋🤩
