If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss. Just don't address me as 'Dear Sirs' ...I didn't take kindly to that...especially when my actual name is on the advert.

Climate strategies need to work for people. But how does government actually think about us humans? Research Iโ€™ve just published shows that official government strategies on climate barely mention people at all. A thread & summary briefing (1/8) climatecitizens.org.uk/wp-content/uplโ€ฆ

So crucial to shift from "is the mine carbon neutral?" to "Why, in a country with a statutory net zero target, are we even discussing opening a new mine?" but this thread is a really clear recognition of how embedded the former is. So important to flush out the right questions...

Many small investments in local infrastructure services better value for society than mega projects. Not really news for #ibuild researchers, but the message still isn't getting through! @PhilPurnell Claire Walsh Dr Peter O'Brien @gsthrower Dr Katy Roelich ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ theguardian.com/australia-newsโ€ฆ

This is terrible 'false balance' reporting from the BBC. It is not just 'environmental groups' who say more oil & gas fields would take us over carbon targets. It's IPCC, International Energy Agency, Climate Change Committee & the well-established scientific consensus. For more... 1/2 bbc.co.uk/news/business-โ€ฆ

Dear the BBC. Offering a prime time radio 4 slot on heat pumps to the UK's largest gas and oil boiler manufacturer and allowing them to spout industry propaganda unchallenged is probably part of the reason we are in such a mess with heating.

This was fun! Talking with parliamentarians about realist approaches to thinking about and using evidence - not sure how impressed Greg Clark was! Drawing on Nature Energy paper w/ @LucieMiddlemiss Dr Katy Roelich ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ. UCL Energy Institute @CREDS_UK EnergyREV Sense about Science
