We’ve just delivered a message to Downing Street, backed by over 100,000 of you.‼️ Farmers, NGOs and the public are standing together to demand action. UK Government, this is a call you can't afford to ignore. Any cut now would be a disaster for farming and nature.

A disappointing week for nature policy. The Planning Bill has passed yet another stage in the Commons. Part 3 will significantly weaken protections for nature in the development process. It's unfit for nature and people. Urge your MP to oppose part 3: wtru.st/3SkLinU

Govt proposals to effectively dismantle ELMS and BNG are incredibly worrying. Sites of all sizes play a crucial role in recovering, restoring and connecting so much habitat across the country. These initiatives have so much potential. Nature cannot afford another regression.

"A continuous area of beautiful and natural surroundings". 12 open spaces linked by a "network of footpaths, along the riverbank, threading between golf courses and playing fields.” Luke FitzHerbert's dream for the Brent River Park became a reality 50 years ago. Let's celebrate!

I've been in Lisbon during the past week. Whenever I visit the city centre's green spaces, the birdlife never fails to impress. Spotless Starlings, Treecreepers, Serins, Blue-crowned Parakeets, but above all, stunning Hoopoes!
