Happening Now! A Strategic Direction Meeting for our Staff to review on the 2024 performance, identify opportunities, potential projects & interventions and plan for PLA’s 25th anniversary.

As part of our mandate to support vulnerable, marginalized workers, majority of who are women, youth and children, we have been able to achieve significant strides in 2024 and these include; 1. Supported development of the Child rights and business guidelines.

The Youth are the heart of our future. As we look forward to celebrating our silver jubilee, we challenge ourselves to innovate, work diligently, and ensure our institution thrives for generations to come.

Key highlights from our Strategic Direction Meeting included in-depth discussions on thematic areas and their specific theories of change. These areas encompassed Research and Knowledge Development, Social Protection, and Institutional Strengthening and Development

Our Executive Director Ms. Grace Mukwaya while highlighting on celebrating 25 years of service noted that reaching a milestone like this isn't just a celebration; it's a call to reflect on the past, learn lessons, and pave the way forward.

Our pledge is to continue empowering communities through awareness raising on issues affecting vulnerable workers; provide free legal aid to enable access to justice; legal advocacy; policy engagement and social development sector budget monitoring, and capacity development.
