Congratulations to research assistant, Maria Montoya on receiving a PhD scholarship from Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy !! 🥳🥂 Maria starts her PhD in our group NNF Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) in the new year, where she will be investigating the role of salt inducible kinases (SIKs) in hepatic gluconeogenesis.

Extremely saddened by the passing of the dearest Joan Guinovart. Joan was a prominent biochemist and pioneer/frontier researcher in glycogen metabolism and extra-ordinal leader/mentor. We will continue our collaboration in glycogen biology and velop the field further. RIP Joan.
