Bringing back Moe Wagner at $5M, I've got the Magic at about $4.3M over the luxury tax with two open roster spots. Orlando is hard-capped at the first apron from using the NTMLE on Tyus Jones, and has about $3.7M in clearance underneath the first apron. That's enough room for

It feels a little like the Magic getting Desmond Bane has been forgotten because it happened "so long" ago (time is weird!), but Orlando has had a really solid offseason: 🏀Bane 🏀Tyus Jones 🏀Moe Wagner on a good deal 🏀Good value draft picks in Jase Richardson and Noah Penda

Correction on this: I forgot Desmond Bane has a bonus in his deal, so things are tighter to that first-apron hard cap for Orlando than I had below. They've got room for Penda on a 2RPE deal or a vet minimum signing. Can't currently fit in both. Plenty of time to clear room

Running this back on Spotrac: Bradley Beal's contract is a rough one. The Suns want out of it. But moving on is a complicated process (even if we just saw a mega waive-and-stretch with Damian Lillard): Read more: spotrac.com/news/_/id/2763…

If you aren't overreacting to Summer League, I don't think you are having enough fun with it! (But back off by the time we get to the regular season, otherwise you end up looking like a crazy person.)

Things I look for during Summer League: 🏀Do the rookies look like they can hang athletically? Especially when going against experienced players. 🏀What skills do returning players show off? Are they asked to play a very different role and handling it ok? 🏀Are second- and

Guerschon Yabusele’s contract is expected to land a little less than the full $5.7 million midlevel exception next season, The Post has learned, providing the Knicks enough cap space to sign another player on a veteran minimum contract. Helping out his new team.

The Houston Rockets are trading Cam Whitmore to the Washington Wizards for two second-round picks, sources tell ESPN. The deal gives Whitmore a tremendous opportunity for an increased role as he turns 21 on Tuesday and returns to the DMV area.

I like that pickup for Washington. Another young player to put in the mix. They don't really have a guy like him as an athletic combo forward on the roster. Good for Houston to get a couple more draft assets for a player who was on the outside of their crowded forward rotation.

Roster stuff from the HOU-WAS trade: 🏀TBD on how WAS will bring in Whitmore. Wizards have multiple exceptions they can use. This could be rolled into that mega multi-team trade too! 🏀WAS is back to 16 players on standard deals. Something else has to come there. 🏀All very

The Memphis Grizzlies are trading center Jay Huff to the Indiana Pacers for one second-round pick and one second-round pick swap, sources tell ESPN.

Free agent center Jock Landale has agreed to a deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, sources tell ESPN. Landale solidifies the Grizzlies frontcourt as the team and his agent, Sammy Wloszczowski of SIG Sports, reach terms.

Roster stuff from Grizzlies/Pacers moves: 🏀IND gets some affordable center depth with Huff. Pacers are $17.6M under the tax with three open roster spots. 🏀MEM replaces Huff with Landale for center depth, while creating more cap space to renegotiate-and-extend JJJ. I've got

The Nuggets are going ahead with their trade for Jonas Valančiūnas on Sunday and remain determined to keep the veteran big man they hope to install as their backup to Nikola Jokić … despite Valančiūnas’ offer from Greek giants Panathinaikos, league sources tell Marc Stein.

In both SL games going right now, you can see some of the value of SL for guys who have guaranteed deals. Both Jaylen Wells (doing well) and Dalton Knecht (not so hot yet) are getting to do a lot of on-ball stuff. Those are good reps for them and the team to see what they can do.
