Recruiting is all about having that one school to see your talent. Nobody know who you are or how talented you might be, and then one day it changes. Or it changes once you show them. And then all of a sudden, everyone’s interested.

Football is more than just a game. It teaches lessons that many of our peers try to figure out years later. Teamwork, discipline, perseverance, goal setting, handling success/failure, time management, and keeping fit.

Ask the right questions: •Does the school have your degree program? •How good is the degree program? •How often are internships available? •How they plan to use you in their schemes?

It’s about getting a big-time degree & winning rings!

Guide these athletes who have bad attitudes & careless about their education. Don’t let them throw away their opportunities. If you talk about them and not guide them, you’re just as wrong. Your guidance could be what they need to hear and get their life turned around.

It’s critical to your recruitment process. •Sign up for the ACT or SAT •Stay on track with approved core courses at your HS •If you are falling behind academically, ask your counselor for help with finding retakes, that will keep your on track w/ Eligibility Center.

Recruiting has become more competitive than ever with hs recruiting, juco, and the portal. Stay ahead and have a school in your head.

The recruiting process should be all about the recruit. This is the one time in your life you should make the decision all about your next level expectations. Decide what you want both academically/athletically and see which school will best fit you.

In most athlete's cases, recruiting is making them move slowly which leads them down the path of moving correctly. Enjoy the slow correct path it's the right way.

To some extent, recruiting becomes a numbers game. Colleges have a certain amount of scholarships allotted per position. If you want the numbers to fall in your favor, becoming eligible early will better your chances of getting offered to play college football.

Your behavior on social media cannot always be fixed with an apology. Think before you post and then think again. If you feel unsure about the post, DON’T POST.

It’s great to see standardized testing continues to be excluded. Testing has blocked a lot of potential. Some kids aren’t good test takers, but they can do the course work required and keep their GPA up for eligibility, I think this will help save a lot of kid’s careers.

It’s up to the RECRUIT to get the RECRUIT, not the parents, hs coach or trainer. The RECRUIT has to make the plays and put the time in.

Be smart! Hanging around the wrong people you can easily destroy your future.
