It’s really cool, no doubt. And the racing ties they included with the players in trucks for a parade lap and then being introduced between race cars in the outfield (after a mock pit stop) are a nice touch.

I respect those who can do that. But I like also keeping up with what else is going on, sharing my experience, and from a safety standpoint, being able to contact and be contacted if needed. Oh, and it’s a hazard of my job that I feel I need to keep up with social media.

Again, completely respect those choices but not everyone wants that. Those who want to stay off their phone can. But don’t make it mandatory for those wanting to send a simple text or people who love social media and want to post what they’re experiencing.
