It was a privilege to attend the commemoration to mark 40 years since the Air India disaster in West Cork. 329 innocent people lost their lives over the skies of Ireland that morning, and the passing of time does not dim the scale of loss and of this atrocity.

On the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism, Canada in India and Irish Embassy India, hosted a remembrance gathering to honour the lives lost in the #AirIndia182 tragedy. Standing together with India, we reaffirm our commitment to peace and unity against terrorism.

Yesterday on 23rd June, we joined hands with our colleagues Canada in India , Randhir Jaiswal and families of the victims of the terrorist bombing of Air India Flight 182, off the Irish coast 40 years ago. Ireland stands firm in our rejection of terrorism in all its forms.
