Truly heartbreaking news. Alex was one of the industry's brightest stars—an even better person than he was a restaurateur, and that's saying something. Cancer is beyond cruel. Sending love to everyone else who is grieving this tremendous loss. Texas Restaurant Association 💔

One of the best things about representing Texas Restaurant Association: the generosity of food and beverage businesses! So many are small businesses, but they step up time and again for wonderful causes like Austin Speech Labs. ❤️🙏

Hey CLEAR, your folks are encouraging customers to leave the line in Austin for the regular lines, which “are much faster.” Not ideal when we’re paying for the service.

Do you know how much you're paying in credit card swipe fees? Me neither. SB 2056 will change that. Our bill adds a line to your monthly statement showing how much your credit card company charged in swipe fees & prohibits credit card companies & payment networks from

Astonishing to see the misinformation campaign from Wall Street over a bill that simply requires transparency and prohibits price fixing and predatory fees. Thank you Kelly Hancock for championing TX consumers and small businesses w/ SB2056. #txlege

#Txlege just passed HB 3073 by Donna Howard & Senator Angela Paxton to update the definition of consent in our sexual assault laws--something Mayor Kirk Watson also championed back in 2017 & 2019. What a great reminder that progress is possible!
