Lions start the 2nd half by stretching their lead to 27-0 after 43 minutes. Sharks deliberate knock-on, flyhalf Lubabalo Dobela slots the 37m kick. #CurrieCup

Lovely try by the Lions! Off a kick, wing Angelo Davids provided the impetus with his counter, great work by centre Rynhardt Jonker running down the right touchline & then cutting infield, out to Maxwane & then back infield for Davids to score on debut. Lions lead 32-0 51 minutes

69 minutes gone & the Sharks are finally on the board. Kick ahead by centre Lithelihle Bester, Kade Wolhuter seems to have it covered, but fullback Gianni Lombard gets in his way going for the same ball; wing Phiko Sobahle dots down the loose ball for the try. Lions lead 32-5

Lions strike back immediately though with their 6th try, again creating space out wide way too easily - 1 long pass basically. Angelo Davids gets the ball in space, races clear & unselfishly passes inside for the excellent centre Rynhardt Jonker to score. Lions lead 39-5 71st min

Lions score again in the 74th minute! Off a lineout, a very good area for them today, replacement prop SJ Kotze bursts straight through the line, charges into the 22 & sends replacement scrumhalf Layton Horn over for the try. Kade Wolhuter converts, Lions lead 46-5 #CurrieCup

Pretty much men v boys at Ellis Park as a much more experienced Lions side hammer a young Sharks XV 46-5. Good performance though by the Lions, set-pieces operated very well; they were dangerous out wide, backline was slick. Angelo Davids looks to be a great signing on the wing.

I stand with Molebogeng Taje, the Executive Manager at CETA. She has courageously stood her ground - as did Brian Tyebileyo, Tumiso Mphuthi and others - against CEO Malusi Shezi, who has repeatedly abused his power. The new Minister of HigherEducationZA would be wise to

simon hughes Cricket is a game underpinned by personal milestones. The 1000 or so pages of Wisden each year are replete with personal milestones. Earlier in this very match, the media were obsessed with whether Root would achieve a personal milestone. England would have done the same thing.

Hey NetflixSA for the love of all that is holy, some of us want to watch the credits after a show! But your stupid Watch Credits or Next Episode option is mostly impossible to navigate. Kaos is a case (pardon the pun) in point!

OUTA is outside the CETA offices this morning, spotlighting the rot in the #SETA's. Billions in public funds are at risk, while forensic reports & #whistleblower evidence are ignored. Transparency is non-negotiable. Yesterday we released our full #CETA report. Today,
