🚨NEW🚨⚽️ “ It is not possible to change the posture in football with COD, chaos... This is not track and field" YES ,YOU CAN!💥 STRUCTURE (Static) dictates FUNCTION ( Dynamic⚽️) STRUCTURE > TECHNIQUE ( overrated ?) on APT Enhance your STRAIN margin of safety with ⬇️ APT

Sprint posture and football ⚽️🚨 Major new study by ZENTRUM SPORT Much more than “non specific linear sprint mechanics” These guys are just pushing our field ✅💡🤩 Read at Journal of Sports Sciences 👇🏻

The Ken Clark, PhD video was useful for elite athletes, but it can also be used for high school sprinters as well. Next month, a 3D model with foot mechanics will be made available for all sprint coaches with automatic reporting using affordable motion capture.

A little easier to "spring forward" when you wake up to something like this! Awesome to see Brendan (and Emmet!) at the top of #SCTop10 this morning. Thanks SportsCenter! #ILPL | #FightOnPenn 🔴🔵

Off my Twitter hiatus to say this: I was really honored to be invited on to the Andrew D. Huberman, Ph.D. podcast. A really enjoyable couple of days. I hope you dig it! youtube.com/watch?v=U3cSnz…

🆕‼️ Sprint Running Mechanics & Hamstring Injury Risk ‼️🆕 Our latest research in British Journal of Sports Medicine (BJSM) explores whether sprint mechanics are linked to past and future hamstring injuries in professional footballers. What did we find? And why does this matter? 🧵👇 bjsm.bmj.com/content/early/…

🚨Sprint running mechanics are associated with hamstring strain injury. ⚠️Higher scores in the S-MAS➡️new HSI. ‼️1-point increase in the S-MAS➡️33% increase HSI rate. Dr Chris Bramah is changing the game👏 ✅The S-MAS can be easily measured in My Jump Lab Official bjsm.bmj.com/content/early/…

Tangential Foot Speed- If you read the Ken Clark, PhD study on ground speed compared to horizontal foot speed (negative) the relationship is very clear, if you don’t have the juice, it’s hard to run faster due to braking. The key is hip torque, and even elites are deficient. 🧵

We have taken a deep dive into SMAS scores and how they relate to PSR. The results are probably what you expect! Ryan Grubbs vuemotion Dr Chris Bramah Ken Clark, PhD JB Morin ZENTRUM SPORT Speedworks Training Speed Solutions Sportsmith

The Ken Clark, PhD study illustrated some great points to velocity versus technical considerations. How to use this information? Model your program don’t sprint profile! Map out how you take testing and training data and modify the workouts. Forecasting speed is key.
