#LestWeForget. At the Royal British Legion #FieldofRemembrance Westminster Abbey and #FestivalOfRemembrance Royal Albert Hall our The Royal Family joined present armed services members & veterans as well as bereaved families to commemorate those who have served to keep us safe.

The programme for the Royal British Legion event Royal Albert Hall included a warm tribute to Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her lifelong commitment to serve us, is a permanent reminder of our national values including a duty to care for one another.

Last Friday we held an investiture The Tower of London for 59 deserving #BEM #MBE #OBE and #QAVS recipients. We were ably supported by my #LordLieutenantsCadets with stewarding by Metropolitan Police Cadets. Together proving the power of service to others.

One of the main reasons that London fared so well through the pandemic was due to the work of many tiny volunteer-led faith-based charities. From feeding the vulnerable to entertaining the isolated, this diverse group showed everything that is good. Last week we said thank you!

Today Westminster Abbey ITV recorded The Princess of Wales' 2nd Christmas #TogetherAtChristmas concert (to be shown on Christmas Eve). It movingly celebrated HM Queen Elizabeth and her deep values of service to others. #mustwatch

VE Day - Thursday, 8 May, marks 80 years since WWII came to an end in Europe. Some 35 million people lost their lives in the ‘War to end all wars’. Their Majesties, The Royal Family & Faith leaders joined a full @Wabbey to remember those who made our peace possible.

May 14th, HM The Queen visited Westminster Abbey to unveil the foundation stone for The King Charles III Sacristy which is being constructed to transform the welcome the Abbey offers the millions who come from around the world to enjoy one of the world’s great churches.
