Brutal take in my opinion. Parents, if holding your child back gives them a better opportunity to advance in their sport/academics, then why wouldn’t you do that. In the end, as a parent, you are trying to set them up for success and this could be an avenue to help them.

Logan constantly is finding barrels in games and has been a mainstay at the top of my 17/18U team’s line up. Just started pitching again and already up to 85. Easily will be 87-88 by summer time. Someone is going to get a gamer.

When a youth baseball tournament only has 4 teams in it, the tournament should automatically start at double elimination from game 1 on Saturday. Otherwise, Saturday is just two useless games where teams are just saving pitching and not really competing.

Don’t know if this is a hot take or not but all speakers and walk up songs at youth sporting events should be banned if it’s at a complex with multiple fields in a close vicinity. Have some courtesy for the games going on around you.

A cool hitter experiment would be to take 5 HS age RHH and have them each work with a different hitting coach 1 hour a day for 30 days. Take raw metrics and then have them hit live against HS JV, HS V, D3, D2, D1 arms. Retest in a month and see which coach provided most help

Who do I have to talk to in Philadelphia to get 54/80 size field for 12U. These fields are far too small for competitive 12U teams in our area. Would be even better to have it flexible to 60/90 as well.
