As Mother’s Day comes to a close, today also marks the start of National Police Week. 41 is the number of LE who have died in the line of duty, in the U.S., this year. Do not let their sacrifice be forgotten. Honor and Respect one another. We are all in this together.

The Kenosha Police Department is currently working on a criminal barricaded subject in the 900 block of 52nd St. There is a large police presence, please avoid the area. The suspect is contained and there is no immediate threat to the public.

Kenosha Police Department officers Cody Cox and Jacob Thorpe were honored by the State Assembly yesterday as 1st Responders of the year. They were nominated by State Representatives Ohnstad and McGuire for their heroic actions in rescuing an elderly man from a vehicle fire.

The Kenosha Police Department has responded to five deaths in the last two weeks that are suspected to be fentanyl overdoses. Unfortunately we have learned that Fentanyl can be found in all forms of illegal drugs including marijuana. You don’t always know what you are taking.
