Exciting news: Meilisearch is featured in the latest Fireship video covering OpenAI's new browser, Atlas! It just dropped – and if you haven’t played with Meilisearch yet, here’s your sign. 👀 There’s a little code surprise in the announcement! youtube.com/watch?v=5uSboa…

If you use Laravel Scout for full-text search, what driver do you use? And would you want me to create a video series on that topic of full-text search with various tools? (Twitter allows only 4 poll options, so didn't mention DB driver or Elasticsearch)

Yup! People prefer Meilisearch over other solutions! I don't know if it's due to our ease of use, performance, or something else, i.e., Language safety 🤔 x.com/PovilasKorop/s…

I prefer Meilisearch over Typesense for search. Typesense is primarily an in-memory db so the search index is stored in RAM. Meilisearch uses a memory mapped db, so it uses disk + RAM. Meaning it runs well in resource-constrained (cheaper) environments.

LLMs are notorious for "hallucinating": producing confident-sounding answers that are entirely wrong. But with the right definitions, we can extract a semantic notion of "confidence" from LLMs, and this confidence turns out to be calibrated out-of-the-box in many settings (!)

Bartek Moniewski The Lunduke Journal the regular version of sudo has had more CVEs in the same span of time since sudo-rs has existed as a debian package by a factor of nearly 5x do i think sudo needs a rewrite? probably not would a (actually complete, correct) rust rewrite actually be safer? yeah, it would

AI is only as open as it is *searchable.* Hugging Face uses Meilisearch to power discovery for: - 2.2M models - 550K datasets - 60K demos From keyword filtering → full-text, typo-tolerant search with flexible ranking and fast results. Better search = more accessible AI.
