Looking forward to going on BBC Radio 4 Today at about 8.30 to discuss The Times and The Sunday Times splash today saying that Natural England is blocking house building. We’re not, we are highlighting laws to protect internationally important wetlands from sewage (Times running a major campaign on that!).

I’m very biased, but we have some magical stretches!! Thank-you Natural England Natural England NE

Good news. DEFRA agreed to strengthen legal links between Local Nature Recovery Strategies & local plans. The change is in response to Kate Parminter's proposals, supported by Kathy Willis & Maggie Jones. Thanks to Richard Benyon for listening. Now to get the LNRSs flying!

Size really matters for nature recovery, so this is good news! #moreBIGGERbetterjoined NE Chief Scientist

Have you watched Charles III: The Coronation Year? 👑 Lincolnshire Coronation Coast #NationalNatureReserve has a vital role in England’s #NatureRecovery. We were thrilled to share our love for this remarkable location with King Charles III The Royal Family. Catch up BBC iPlayer.

Striking rainfall run-off comparisons Broughton Hall Estate pre- (Jan 21) and post- (Jan 24) large-scale tree planting in former intensive sheep grazed pastures. Virtually identical rainfall in previous 4 weeks (131 mm v 133 mm). Big increase in infiltration and above-ground storage.

Today Natural England Dorset Wildlife Trust private funders, local farmers & other partners meet at Lyscombe Farm in Dorset to mark the start of a new Nature recovery programme there. I will speak about that on BBC Radio 4 Today at 6.50. dorsetwildlifetrust.org.uk/news/dorset-wi…
