Tomorrow's (Thur, July 19, 3pm CST) the big day for Sara Moshage - she will be presenting her PhD defense on the effect of exercise when young in a lovely dual-benefit equine model. Excellent work on multi-scale mechanics. DM for a zoom link.

Outstanding, inspiring IntSoc Biomechanics Wartenweiler Memorial Lecture from Emeritus Professor Julie Steele AM. Thank you so much for using your platform and taking this opportunity to promote the work of women in biomechanics #ISB2023 🇯🇵

Check out David Winter award finalist kelliehalloran presenting her incredible work on exercise for those w/SCI- happening now!! Poster 17-04

I was taken by how many presenters at IntSoc Biomechanics 2023, a large meeting of ~1000 people, acknowledged their partners and/or family back home. Academia is not a 9-5 job. Yet all these presenters were women! Gents, I think we have some work to do… #academia #WorkLifeBalance

What a time IntSoc Biomechanics 2023 - great to catch up with friends. Congrats to kelliehalloran & Griffin Sipes on presenting their work. Thx to U.S. National Science Foundation @mechseILLINOIS @BeckmanInst for supporting their efforts!!!

This was a part of Sara Moshage's award winning PhD work on equine bone mechanics! Thanks for highlighting. 🐴🦴

Gearing up to present with colleague Amy Wagoner Johnson (she/her) on imaging and mechanics of tendon - registration open. Thanks for the invite to share our work Orthopaedic Research Society! ors.org/online-current…

I am incredibly grateful to receive this generous award from the De Luca Foundation. A huge thank you to Mariana Kersh, PhD and Ian Rice for your mentorship and continual help with this project, along with all the support I've received from my colleagues in the Tissue Biomechanics Lab.

Woohoo!! Way to go Griffin Sipes!
