Simon Harris TD told Pearse Doherty of VAT on energy being 9%. Half of Ireland's energy comes from liquid fuels, and it is ALL subject to a higher level of VAT than 9%. That includes the fuel on which 60% of homes in rural ire and rely to heat their homes.
