It’s always great to have the entire team together. Last week, OSC hosted its annual all-staff meeting at the New Jersey State Museum. Division leaders celebrated the impact our work had over the past year and staff members received awards for their work!

Four years ago, the Governor nominated me to be the State Comptroller. I’ve truly enjoyed every aspect of this job. It’s been extremely rewarding and an honor to do this work. politi.co/3tZ5HX9

🧵Under state law, professional service providers who work on contract are not New Jersey government employees and, therefore, are not entitled to pensions. 1/4

🎉 This #PublicServiceRecognitionWeek, I want to recognize the dedicated employees at the Office of the State Comptroller. My staff works hard to bring transparency, accountability, and integrity to government in New Jersey. Thank you for your service!

My concerns about this #OPRA bill remain. While the amendments address some issues, the version before the Senate Budget Committee today will still result in less transparency, and make it harder for residents to hold government accountable.

NEW: My office published a report exposing a massive scam by the owners/operators of South Jersey Extended Care. These individuals funneled millions of dollars in #Medicaid funds out of the #nursing home into their personal businesses and charities over years. 1/3

Five years ago, Governor Murphy nominated me to be State Comptroller. It has been a great honor to lead the Office of the State Comptroller and to serve the residents of New Jersey.

What would you do if dinner consisted of a single ravioli? A plate of food you couldn’t identify? Or you couldn’t eat without help? Getting enough healthy, palatable food is far from guaranteed in some nursing home in the U.S. 1/6 nj.com/news/2025/04/m…

This budget provision is a giveaway to the nursing home industry and will make quality of care worse. We have the chance to protect residents and make NJ less corrupt. But instead the Legislature is giving more money to one of the most corrupt industries in NJ.

1. This is why we need a comptroller that is not beholden to the whims of the legislature. 2. People really need to start paying attention to what is happening in nursing homes. However bad you thought they were before, it's getting worse, and people are profiting from it.

Yesterday, I issued a report about how a NJ city wasted $630k intended to save lives on "awareness" concerts. They irresponsibly used opioid recovery funds to put the mayor's face and name on billboards, trucks with digital signs, and tshirts. #Irvington
