My concerns about this #OPRA bill remain. While the amendments address some issues, the version before the Senate Budget Committee today will still result in less transparency, and make it harder for residents to hold government accountable.

This budget provision is a giveaway to the nursing home industry and will make quality of care worse. We have the chance to protect residents and make NJ less corrupt. But instead the Legislature is giving more money to one of the most corrupt industries in NJ.

1. This is why we need a comptroller that is not beholden to the whims of the legislature. 2. People really need to start paying attention to what is happening in nursing homes. However bad you thought they were before, it's getting worse, and people are profiting from it.
