31st August, 2009 Sergeant Stuart Millar aged 40, and Private Kevin Elliott aged 24, both from The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, were killed whilst on foot patrol in Babaji, Helmand Province, Afghanistan Lest we Forget these brave men 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧

Three years before Kevin was killed, he and his best friend, Barry Delaney, had agreed that Barry would wear a dress – the brighter, the better – if Kevin was killed in action. Barry kept his word ❤️🙏

1st September, 2006 Ranger Anare Draiva, aged 27 from Suva, Fiji, and of 1 Royal Irish Regiment, was killed during a Taliban mortar attack on the platoon house at Musa Qala, Helmand Province, Afghanistan Lest we Forget this brave young Fijian Warrior who gave his all 🇫🇯 🇬🇧

5 crew members were killed on HMS Fiji on 1st September, 1940, when it was torpedoed by the German submarine U-32. All 5 were buried in Cardonald cemetery, Glasgow Today, we remembered all 5 and laid flowers whilst playing our respects Lest we Forget these brave sailors 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧
