Today is a happy day.....delighted to have shared it with those who sacrificed the most over the last few years. Orthopaedic training.... That's a wrap. #FRCS "The only rock I know that stays steady, the only institution I know that works, is the family" Lee Iacocca

Delivery of the new Thackray fellowship board in the centre for hip surgery, just finished my first shift polishing it 😉. The start of a new tradition for what is a great fellowship.

Had a fantastic day teaching medical students alongside excellent colleagues and friends. Celebrating 10 years of #collabORTHO today (collabortho.org), a national teaching collaboration formed to improve the undergraduate exposure to trauma & orthopaedics across the UK.

We do learn from twitter! 📝 Yelena Bogdan, MD, FACS, FAAOS tweeted on reducing fibula with clamp then hold distal fragment with wire to tibia and remove clamp. Plate positioning is easy 💪without clamp in the way. Used in may cases since and it works really well. Thank you for a very useful tip
