ALM annual conference day! Around 100 gathered to worship, share in small groups and eat cake. Our Authorised Lay Ministers are all much-valued leaders ministering in churches across the Diocese and we thank each and every one for all they do.

Today we launched our new Diocesan Eco Stepping Stones resource and 6 new Eco Champions were commissioned to their role by Bishop Matthew. What an excellent morning! 🌿

Foundations for Ministry 2023-24 is go!! Great first session together getting to know the course and each other. Please hold this wonderful group in your prayers as they explore their gifts, calling and place in God's mission over this next year.

#MoreThanSunday 2024 is go! Our launch event is in full swing with great conversations about how we can encourage Everyday Faith throughout the week.

Vocations Day in full swing! Amazing to see so many people exploring God's call and hearing from people in a wide variety of lay and ordained ministries. 🙌🏼

The first Focus Day of the year is here! Clergy and laity meeting together to explore what Focal Leadership means, and particularly how we work well together. And it's not a Lay Team event without enormous cakes (and fruit, not shown!).

Our Lay Training Pathway courses begin this week! Karen Best is leading training on Parish Administration and Governance this morning, reminding us that administration is a Spiritual gift and of huge value to the mission and ministry of the church.

Our Diocesan Transforming Prayer Community gathered in worship at Evensong. Our prayer happens oft at a distance, so it was lovely to be together. We pray 3 prayers daily for the diocese & it is a blessing to me. I lit a 🕯 for you all, for the week ahead.🙏#manchestercathedral

As our Foundations for Ministry course enters the final few weeks, one of the participants made a butterfly bookmark for everyone this evening to remind us all of the beautiful journey of faith that we are on.

Our HUGE thanks go to the national Thy Kingdom Come team for generously providing TKC resources for everyone attending the Ministerial Development days today and tomorrow. 300 bags of prayer resources. Let's go!!! 🙌🏼🙏🏼
